We put customer proposals into practice!

Our product modification team have been tinkering with an intelligent solution that turns the compact seat shell base freddy. into a real outdoor runabout.

“I have received several requests from customers who are very interested in such a solution,” says Nils Spreckelmeyer. Our colleague in customer service who is also responsible for modifications thought the suggestions were a great idea and sat down with the design. After a short time a drawing was made, a solution was developed and went into production. There, the first prototype of an outdoor kit for freddy. was created, making real excursions into nature possible. Usually the seat shell base is used in the home setting or at least on paved paths.

Quick assembly with clamping levers

Attaching the outdoor kit to the freddy. seat pan sub-frame is almost child’s play. The adapter piece is simply screwed onto existing holes. Extra drilling is therefore unnecessary. The handlebar with the rotating profile wheel can now be quickly inserted and locked in the holder, which is equipped with an anti-twist device, using a clamping lever. This turns the four-wheeler into a cool trike in no time at all! “For off-road rides, you can simply remove the castors or insert them turned upwards in the holder,” says Nils Spreckelmeyer.
