Price list 2021: Adjustment of prices as of August

Our aids support children with limitations and make everyday life easier for families. These aids consist of a variety of materials and components.

Many of these components are either difficult to procure or can only be purchased at significantly increased prices. Our suppliers are affected by the worldwide shortage of raw materials, such as wood, steel and Plexiglas. Semi-finished products made of aluminium and also steel are subject to price increases of 30 to 60 percent. Long-term framework agreements have been terminated, so that our partners sometimes have to calculate with daily prices. As a result, they pass on the increased prices to us.

Suppliers raise prices

For example, the costs for PU foams have risen by more than 50 percent. Due to the unabated boom in the bicycle market, the procurement of components involves an extraordinary amount of extra work for us. Electric motors cost 28 percent more. But there were also surcharges in the double-digit percentage range for wheels, racks and gears.

Transport costs have increased significantly

Due to a lack of transport capacities, the logistics industry has also increased prices by an average of about 28 percent. This is due, among other things, to the increased prices for pallets and boxes as well as the shortage of containers. As a result, the costs for sea freight in particular have risen more than significantly by up to 500 percent.

Moderate price adjustment at Schuchmann

We are constantly striving to adjust prices only very moderately. Many prices have therefore remained unchanged in the past. Nevertheless, for the reasons mentioned above, we are forced to adjust our prices as of 1 August 2021 and ask for your understanding. Orders for quotes requested by 31 July 2021 will be honoured up to  31 October 2021 at the current prices.
