Support for Chernobyl-affected children

Aid donation reaches Belarus (White Russia)

On 26 April 1986 one of the most serious accidents in the history of nuclear energy occurred at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in Ukraine. A large amount of radioactivity was released during the explosion and meltdown in Block 4 of the reactor. Thousands of people lost their lives. To this day, people still suffer from cancer or have severe genetic damage.

Especially in Belarus children are born with sometimes severe
physical and mental impairments. The families often do not have the availability or the financial means to get suitable aids for their children. Schuchmann supports Chernobyl-affected children and we support the german association “Hilfe für Tschernobyl-geschädigte Kinder e.V.”, which brings relief supplies to the affected region several times a year.

This is why we donated marcy. and malte. walking frames for one of the last transports to Mogilew.

We are happy to be able to help at least some of the children and to contribute relief their families.
