Reliable support: our new armrest for the smilla therapy chair
In the past, there were isolated instances where the armrests on the smilla would slip under load. This feedback was incorporated directly into the further development of the product. We listened and made improvements!
Our design and development department has completely redesigned the armrests. The clear aim: maximum stability in day-to-day care.
The result: the armrests are as strong as an elephant!
The clamping mechanism is now made of glass-fibre-reinforced plastic. The wooden component has been optimised, making it extremely robust, durable and break-resistant. The clamping surfaces that grip the smilla’s frame have been enlarged and fitted with a rubber pad to prevent slipping. This ensures the armrests stay securely in place – even when a child leans on them with their full weight.
Just as easy to use, only better.
The material has been optimised and the design refined, but the simple functionality remains the same. The manni twist grip still allows the armrest to be adjusted to any height. It’s a perfect fit!
