wave is a bathing and shower aid for children and young people with disabilities. It helps ensure safe positioning in wet areas and makes daily hygiene easier for carers. As it can be flexibly adjusted to suit body size, posture and support needs, wave is suitable for use in the bath, shower and during therapy.

The wave offers a high level of comfort and supports pressure-free reclining during personal care. The ergonomically designed surface allows for a comfortable position and encourages safe relaxation.

The backrest can be individually adjusted and can also be adapted whilst bathing. Various strap systems for the chest, pelvis and legs ensure safety. A headrest is also available.

The bathing and shower bench is available with or without a calf pad. A special transfer subframe makes showering over the bathtub easier and supports safe and comfortable repositioning.

The angle of the calf pad and seat surface can be independently adjusted.

The removable covers are available in pink and blue.

With the foldable and space-saving transfer sub-frame, the child can be positioned effortlessly over the bathtub and even rotated by 90 °.

The back angle can be changed using one hand.

  • An optional calf pad, which can be adjusted during care, increases the support surface and enhances comfort.
  • The backrest angle can be adjusted with one hand, ensuring ease of use.
  • The height- and width-adjustable headrest, chest strap (available with or without lateral guides which can also used as a pelvic harness) and optional leg strap with Velcro fastening ensure secure positioning.
  • The removable cover allows for quick and easy machine washing.
  • A height-adjustable subframe and height-adjustable support feet ensure flexibility in every situation.
  • A range of different sub-frames, such as bath, shower and foldable transfer subframes, allow for individual adaptation to the environment, facilitate transfers, protect the parent's back and enable a 90° rotation over the bath.

The wave shower and bath bench features various harness systems and stabilisation elements that can be individually adapted to the user’s support needs. These include head and torso supports, pelvic and upper-body harnesses, along with leg straps, which ensure security whilst bathing or showering.

The basic model is optionally available with calf pads, which allow for a stable and relaxed position. It is not possible to retrofit the calf pad system.

In addition, three different subframes are available: a bath subframe, a shower subframe or a swivelling transfer subframe. 

The wave bathing and shower bench is suitable for children and young people with GMFCS Levels III–V and is recommended for therapeutic use when safe and stable positioning is required during personal care. It is used in particular for neurological or neuromuscular conditions, as well as for severe physical and multiple disabilities, where the person’s ability to control their seat or lying position independently is limited.

Yes, the wave bathing and shower bench dries quickly even with frequent use. Its design and the materials used are engineered to prevent moisture from being trapped for long periods. This means the wave is ready for use again in no time – a clear advantage for daily or frequent use, for example in families or care homes.
