franka is a universal seat pan sub-frame for children and young people with disabilities. It accommodates almost all standard seat pans and supports flexible use at home, in facilities and when out and about. Height adjustment, seat angle adjustment and the option to convert it to a combi sub-frame make franka particularly adaptable.

The universal seat pan sub-frame is compatible with almost all standard seat pans and offers flexible options for everyday use. It reliably accompanies the child to various locations, whether at home, in a facility or, when converted into a combi sub-frame, even outdoors.

The seat angle and seat height can be adjusted to suit individual needs in a matter of seconds. Using an easy-to-operate foot pedal, the position can be adjusted continuously from floor level up to table height via a gas spring.

Thanks to its ease of use and high flexibility, the sub-frame offers a convenient solution for changing requirements in everyday life and in care settings.

  • Conversion to a combi sub-frame allows for use both indoors and outdoors.
  • The trapezoidal interface allows use with all conventional seat pans and ensures greater versatility.
  • Lowering to play height and adjustment of the seat angle to active and passive positions support optimal integration.
  • An angle-adjustable push bar and height adjustment of the base frame via a foot pedal or, alternatively, a hydraulic foot pump ensure comfortable handling.
  • Castors with locking devices enable easy transfer and prevent the chair from rolling away unintentionally.
  • The seat angle trigger lever can be flexibly mounted on the push bar or on the back of the seat shell for increased flexibility.

The franka is available in several sizes, which differ in height, length, width and maximum load capacity. Each version is designed so that the seat pan can be fitted ergonomically. 

Fitting a seat pan to the franka is a straightforward process and is carried out using an adapter system. The seat pan can be secured and adjusted as required in just a few simple steps. To ensure it is fitted safely and correctly, it is recommended that you carry out the fitting initially with the assistance of qualified personnel.

franka is listed under HMV number 26.99.01.0022 in the GKV Spitzenverband’s directory of medical aids. This simplifies the approval process through statutory health insurance in Germany.
