Today’s spotlight is on our dear colleague Maxime de Muylder.
Maxime has been working at Schuchmann SAS, our French subsidiary, since 2023 as a medical technology consultant for the Grand-Ouest region. At the end of 2025, he also took on the role of sales team leader. As a qualified occupational therapist, he brings valuable practical experience to his work.
1. What is your favourite Schuchmann product?
My favourite Schuchmann product is the momo tricycle. It’s a high-quality, safe, adaptable product that grows with the child and is unique in its category. It’s incredibly lovely to see the beaming faces of the children and parents during the tricycle trials. Offering a leisure activity for children with disabilities is very close to my heart.
2. Why do you enjoy working with us?
I enjoy working at Schuchmann because it’s a family-run business that’s committed to promoting independence and autonomy for people with disabilities.
The company is constantly evolving – in development, research and innovation. The focus remains on adapting medical aids to the needs of users. The experience of our staff also plays a key role in continuously improving our products. It’s never boring at Schuchmann, as there are always new projects on the go.
3. What did you want to be when you were a child?
As a child, I wanted to be a barman or work in the healthcare sector. That might sound a bit contradictory, but today I do both – in moderation, of course.
