Today’s spotlight is on our lovely colleague Nina Mertens.
Nina Mertens has been part of Schuchmann since 2024. Together with her four colleagues, she works in production planning, ensuring that the next steps in the production process are prepared and run smoothly.
1. Nina, what’s your favourite country – have you ever been there?
I’d say that Portugal is definitely one of my favourite countries. I visited Madeira this year and was really impressed by the island. Flowers are blooming everywhere, the landscape is always green and incredibly diverse. You can go on wonderful hikes and then jump into the sea – there’s simply always something new to discover. For me, Madeira is a destination that everyone should experience at least once.
2. What has been your biggest success at Schuchmann so far?
My greatest success at Schuchmann so far is the trust that was placed in me after only a short time at the company. I particularly appreciate being able to take on the role of key user and actively contribute to updating our ERP system.
3. Are you working in the profession you originally trained for?
I originally trained as an office administration assistant, but I no longer work in that role in the traditional sense. My current responsibilities are quite different – they’re more about planning, organising and structuring.
