Schuchmann offers webinars for parents of families affected by disability.

On 30 October 2026, we will be addressing families and parents directly whose children and young people have disabilities, covering topics that are truly relevant to families affected by disability. ‘Parental burnout’: This is the engaging title of our webinar for parents. During the webinar, we’ll spend sixty minutes in conversation with experts from the fields of medicine and therapy.

Webinar for parents at Schuchmann on
30 October 2026.

We’ll be focusing on the important topic of parental burnout. Parents of children with disabilities face an extremely high risk of burnout due to chronic stress, emotional strain, financial worries and constant care demands.

Main stress factors:
Constant strain: Day-to-day life often requires round-the-clock care, doctor’s appointments and therapies.
Mental and physical exhaustion: Care and support lead to physical exhaustion, particularly as the child gets older.
Social isolation and financial worries: A lack of support and bureaucratic hurdles exacerbate the stress.
Anxiety and worry: Responsibility for the child’s future is an immense, ongoing burden.

Early support, self-care and respite services are essential. And that is exactly where we’d like to start with you.
We’re speaking to Dr Dagmar Siebecke. She is a health psychologist and works independently at BurnOn – a centre for prevention, counselling and coaching for businesses, those at risk and those affected.

📆 On 30 October 2026 from 9 am to 10 am via Teams.
🧑‍🎓 Guest speaker Dr Dagmar Siebecke, a qualified psychologist and occupational scientist, and our Head of Training Andrea Espei will guide you through the webinar.
